SOUTHFIELD, Mich., June 6, 2023 – Spaulding for Children, a not-for-profit child welfare agency, will host its second annual Spaulding Scramble Golf Outing on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023, at Farmington Hills Golf Club. Presented by Detroit Area Wendy’s Franchise Owners, proceeds from the Spaulding Scramble support ongoing services to assure that all children in Spaulding for Children’s care grow up in safe, permanent families with well-prepared caregivers and have the help they need to be successful in life.
Based in Southfield, Mich., Spaulding for Children is a national leader in foster care and adoption, developing and providing evidence-based parenting support, resources and training. Funds raised by the golf outing go to Spaulding’s Child and Family Services Department to provide augmented supports for children in foster care and their caregivers.
The 2023 Spaulding Scramble Co-Chairs are Spaulding for Children’s Board Member, Al Jordan and Spaulding Board Treasurer, Willie Smith. The awards program will be emceed by JoAnne Purtan, Co-Host of “Mornings with JJ & JoAnne” on 104.3 WOMC.
The Spaulding Scramble features 18 holes of golf at the beautiful Farmington Hills Golf Club. Play begins with a shotgun start on Saturday, September 9 at 8:30 a.m., rain or shine. Spaulding Scramble golfers will enjoy breakfast, lunch on the turn and a dinner buffet. The Scramble includes contests and prizes such as four Hole in One’s, Beat-the-Pro, Longest Drive, and Closet to the Pin. Golfers and Spaulding supporters also are invited to participate in the silent auction featuring valuable and exciting items and services.

Spaulding Scramble Corporate Sponsorship opportunities still available range from $2,500 to $5,000 and flag sponsorships are $250. Golf Fees for Foursomes are $600 ($150 per golfer).
