底特律自由报》领养支持系列专题报道 "斯伯丁为儿童"（Spaulding for Children

Reporter Jennifer Brookland of the Detroit Free Press has written a series of stories about families who adopt out of Michigan’s child welfare system. The 3-part series was produced with support from The Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma at Columbia University.

"(《世界人权宣言》) first article focused on early childhood trauma and how it can shape an adoptive family’s journey.
"(《世界人权宣言》) second piece takes a look at the support that adoptive families receive and where there are gaps.
"(《世界人权宣言》) third story explains things Michigan and other organizations are doing to improve the support these families get.

Spaulding‘s 达内尔-斯蒂夫勒 who works in the Wendy’s Wonderful Kids program is featured in the third article that appeared on July 8. The article also details the work being done in the Post Adoption Center, of which Spaulding is a founding member.

According to the article: “One way the state is trying to create more successful placements is by partnering with the 戴夫-托马斯收养基金会, which runs a child-focused placement program called Wendy’s Wonderful Kids. The program currently supports Spaulding for Children to pay professional adoption recruiters who are dedicated to finding forever families for foster care kids, with a special concern for teenagers, sibling groups and others who have extra challenges in finding a permanent home.”
