The Spaulding for Children Board of Directors and I wish to send Season’s Greetings and share our wishes for the happiest of holidays to you and yours. We would also like to express our thanks and gratitude to all who have helped the agency and the children and families we serve.
In the last year, Spaulding received approval for all federal grants including the award of a 4$M federal grant over 5 years for the National Center for Enhanced Post Adoption Support.
We also were selected to work with the MSU Kinship Care Resource Center and become a partner for the Hospital Based Adoption Sensitive Training through the National Council for Adoption.
Some more highlights from the past year:
- Provided services to approximately 210 families.
- Increased adoption rates by 8%.
- 11 families reached permanency through adoption.
- 68 kinship caregivers have benefitted from the services in the KINDER-CARES grant program.
- Translated the NTDC site into Spanish to provide caregiving resources for prospective foster and adoptive families.
I want to express thanks to the entire team at Spaulding for Children and our champions and supporters throughout Michigan and across the country. Thanks to your efforts, I am proud to report we will continue our work to serve children, families and those who need our help.
