3:00 p.m. – Concert

4:30 p.m. – Reception

Community Story Concerts for a Cause is a new concept that integrates the power of the arts with the needs of community organizations to promote important causes.  Specifically, this project is a collaboration among Spaulding for Children, David and Ann Strubler (The Tapestry), musicians from the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and the DSO Youth Orchestra, Detroit Public Television, private donors and community entities.  Our goal is to educate an atypical segment of the population-classical music enthusiasts, about the numbers and types of children waiting for adoptive homes and create awareness of the need for adoptive parents.

The community story concerts will feature an adoptee documentary,

The Tapestry: A Musician’s Journey.
