Overview

This resource describes the Focused Services interval of the QIC‑AG Permanency Continuum Framework, which addresses the needs of children with significant emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges who face barriers to achieving permanence. It explains how focused services provide intensive, targeted supports to both children and prospective adoptive or guardianship families to stabilize placements, strengthen caregiver readiness, and prepare families for long‑term success before and after finalization. The document is intended to guide practitioners and systems in using evidence‑informed services to support children who are at risk of aging out of care without permanence.
