Quality Improvement Center for Adoption & Guardianship Support and Preservation
The National Quality Improvement Center for Adoption and Guardianship Support and Preservation (QIC-AG) was a five-year Children’s Bureau initiative designed to promote permanency and strengthen adoption and guardianship support when reunification was no longer a goal. Awarded to Spaulding for Children in partnership with leading universities, QIC-AG supported child welfare systems in building a continuum of services that improved pre- and post-permanency stability, children’s behavioral health, and family well-being.
QIC-AG partnered with pilot and expansion sites across states and tribes, providing structured implementation support, evaluation, funding, and individualized technical assistance to help agencies build capacity and implement evidence-based and promising practices that sustained permanency outcomes.
