Overview

The White Paper: Insights into Post-Adoption Service Programs for Private and Intercountry Adoptions presents findings from a QIC-AG study examining the experiences of families who adopted through private domestic or intercountry processes and participated in post-adoption support services. Drawing on surveys and in-depth interviews with adoptive parents across multiple QIC-AG pilot sites, the report highlights common strengths, challenges, and support needs of these families, as well as their perspectives on the effectiveness of trauma-informed, post-permanency interventions. The paper fills a critical research gap by offering evidence-informed insights to help child welfare and adoption professionals better design and tailor post-adoption services for private and intercountry adoptive families.
