Overview

This resource provides a detailed description of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska’s implementation of Family Group Decision Making (FGDM) as part of the Quality Improvement Center for Adoption and Guardianship Support and Preservation (QIC‑AG). Implemented within the Focused Services interval of the QIC‑AG Permanency Continuum Framework, the intervention adapts FGDM to align with Ho‑Chunk cultural values, traditions, and practices. The document outlines the intervention’s goals, target population, and core components, emphasizing a family‑led decision‑making process that empowers extended kin networks to identify and support the most appropriate permanency options for children and youth who cannot be reunified with their biological parents.
