Overview

This resource provides a detailed overview of Tennessee’s implementation of the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) as part of the Quality Improvement Center for Adoption and Guardianship Support and Preservation (QIC‑AG). Implemented within the Intensive interval of the QIC‑AG Permanency Continuum Framework, the intervention focuses on adoptive and guardianship families experiencing, or at imminent risk of, crisis. The document describes how Tennessee uses NMT’s developmentally informed, trauma‑responsive assessment tools to match children and families with targeted therapeutic and supportive services, strengthen parenting capacity, stabilize families, and promote long‑term post‑permanency stability and well‑being.
