Overview
This resource provides an overview of Tennessee’s implementation of the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) as part of the Quality Improvement Center for Adoption and Guardianship Support and Preservation (QIC‑AG). Implemented in partnership with the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services and Harmony Family Center, the intervention operates within the Intensive interval of the QIC‑AG Permanency Continuum Framework and targets adoptive and guardianship families experiencing, or at imminent risk of, crisis. The document describes how NMT uses a trauma‑informed, biopsychosocial assessment process to align therapeutic and supportive services with a child’s developmental needs, stabilize families, and strengthen post‑permanency outcomes.
