Overview

This resource provides an overview of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska’s implementation of Family Group Decision Making (FGDM) as part of the Quality Improvement Center for Adoption and Guardianship Support and Preservation (QIC‑AG). Implemented within the Focused Services interval of the QIC‑AG Permanency Continuum Framework, the intervention adapts FGDM to reflect Ho‑Chunk cultural values and practices. The document describes how the Tribe uses a family‑led, culturally grounded decision‑making process to support children and youth who cannot be reunified with their biological parents, strengthen family capacity, and achieve stable, long‑term permanency and well‑being outcomes for tribal children and families.
