Overview

This brief summarizes findings from a qualitative study of Tennessee’s implementation of the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) as part of the QIC‑AG project. Drawing on perspectives from parents and clinicians, the resource explores how NMT was integrated into Adoption Support and Preservation (ASAP) services, the ways trauma‑informed, developmentally focused assessments influenced practice, and how families experienced services during periods of crisis. The brief is intended to inform practitioners, administrators, and policymakers about implementation successes, challenges, and considerations for strengthening intensive post‑permanency supports for adoptive and guardianship families.
